A little bit about me…
Hi i’m Anna!
I live in South Queensferry, Scotland, the home to the three iconic bridges.
I have always had a passion for photography and over the years this has grown from a hobby and quickly developed into something much more.
Why I love photography…
It allows for peaceful moments to really see the beauty in the world and the personalities of people and animals.
It enables me to be freely artistic and share what I see and feel in the moment.
I aim to create photos that evoke the senses, bringing out memories and feelings, enabling people to feel connected, captivated and transported to the moment while sparking curiosity.
I am the stereotypical Virgo -
Responsible, kind, reliable, organised and a perfectionist. All traits that are reflected in my work.
I believe the most authentic and meaningful photographs come from building trust and genuine connections with my clients.
I approach my work with professionalism, dedication and respect. I strive to ensure my clients feel relaxed, comfortable and have fun during their photoshoots so I can capture their true personalities, emotions, and relationships. I am a mum of two and have worked with under 5s for over 20 years, so I completely understand that things do not always go to plan.
I like to be flexible during photoshoots with timings and take everything at the pace of the children and family (and pets) that I am capturing.
Sometimes the best images are the unplanned, unposed ones of big and little people just being themselves in the moment, allowing natural moments to unfold beautifully.
I love embracing the beautiful chaos that comes with photographing children and pets.
When I am not photographing…
I am enjoying slow living and time to recharge.
I love quiet days, going for walks along the beach, being cosy with a good book and enjoying time with my family and friends.
You will often find me hiding in my kitchen, listening to some classic oldies while baking a new cheesecake creation or cooking a delicious meal.
The slow living helps me feel present and reminds me of the importance of the little things in life.
I love exploring the outdoors.
I always take my camera along with me as I appreciate Scotland’s landscapes and its different coastlines and beaches.
Another thing about me is that I love being at the beach – if I could live anywhere, it would definitely be by a beach where I could be close enough to hear the waves all day.
Connecting with nature and its natural beauty always tops up my wellbeing cup, bringing me peace and inspiration.
